A Voice (III), the third instalment in my voice series, is out now, everywhere (link in bio).

This piece explores a dark, brooding mood with a driving, rhythmic construction, while maintaining my commitment to emotive story-telling through sound.

I spent more time on this piece than any of the six, testing the limitations of what the voice could be engineered and contorted into. With influences from artists like Max Cooper, and Trent Reznor, the result is a rather taxing journey of senses and emotions.

Thank you to Matt Colton (@puttingitonwax) for his mastering work that brought the sonics in this piece through the stratosphere. We did multiple recalls and revisions while working collaboratively toward a final edition that we were both happy with. I am tremendously grateful for Matt’s invaluable contribution to this record that is highly representative in (III).

After likely hundreds of hours spent on this piece, hearing it back after multiple months’ hiatus, I found myself feeling unhappy with certain elements of the production. This is symptomatic of my constant battle with perfectionism, and continuing growth toward fully comprehending that while art is never “complete”, is something that still can and should be shared.
